Calm music, a breathtaking view outside the window, the unique architecture, friendly and attentive staff, interesting stories about Circum-Baikal Railroad, small picnic outside, new meetings, and it is not the whole list that you will have today. This railroad was built in the early XX century between the Port Baikal and Kultuk village on the southwestern coast of Lake Baikal. The road with a length of 84 km consists of 424 engineering contructions, including 39 tunnels with total length of 8994 m. All buildings and tunnels are still intact from the early 20th century.
Due to its size, complexity and cost of construction, Circum-Baikal Railway is the only one of its kind. Before the revolution of 1917, CBR was called "Golden buckle” because it joined Trans-Siberian Railway, and golden because CBR is the most expensive railroad in Russia.
We invite you to participate in one-day tour of the Circum-Baikal Railway (CBR), a unique monument of engineering art.
